Our first defeat of this season...

 

Great effort by all. Our defence was solid; Orlaigh stood in for the injured Michaela at full back and played brilliantly even taking a hard knock to the face but never gave up. Clodagh & Lara made great saves keeping us in the game. Niamh hit a great point from distance followed by Nuala & Sarah.  Mairead landed a great goal with the help of Samantha.  Jennifer stood up and took a great penalty. The level of fitness, commitment and skill was outstanding by all players and belief in our ability is evident, One decision determined the outcome of the game, when a effort on goal looked like the ball had crossed the line into the Lamh Dhearg net only for the referee to over rule it. One bad note is that Caomihe dislocated her finger and will be unable to play for the next few weeks, get well soon.
