QUIZ NIGHT:
The third quiz in the series, in aid of juvenile funds, took place Friday 25th June. The Classic's reign at the top came to an end with narrow defeat by 'Fit For Nothing'. There will be no quiz during July but don't panic it will be back in August. Thanks to everyone who has supported the quiz so far.
SPONSORED WALK
On Sunday 18th July a sponsored walk will take place in aid of club funds. The walk will be along the black mountain. It is hoped this will be an opportunity for familys to get together and support the club. Following the walk there will be refreshments back at the club. All members should now have a sponsor sheet but if for some reason you have not received yours please contact Jim Dineen.
FEILE AN PHOBAIL
During this year's Feile we have organised an extensive program of events which it is hoped suit all tastes:
Talk on the 1922 Pogroms
On the evening of 3rd August a talk will be given by local historian and author Jimmy Mc Dermott on the pogroms in Belfast after Ireland was partitioned in 1922. After the talk everyone will have an oppertunity to have some craic with an Irish Music Night and Ceile. Admission £3.00GAA Sports and Fun Day
A day of fun has been organised for children up to the age of 14. Various activities and competitions will take place such as Poc Fada, Cic Fada, solo running football and hurling, face painting and much more. Refrershments available. All welcome.Brendan Nugent Memorial Tournament
This is now annual event for Cumann Naomh Treasa and this year we have organised it to be part of our Feile program. The tournament is for over 40's and is run on a seven a-side basis. Registration is at 6.30 p.m. The games will be followed by refreshments, presentation and entertainment.
Kieran Doherty/Joe Mc Donnell Memorial Tournament
Another of our annual tournaments which have been organised this year to be part of Cumann Naomh Treasa's Feile program is this U16 Gaelic Football tournament. Registration is at 10.00 a.m.
Archie Livingstone Tribute Night
This is an evening of entertainment featuring Karaoke. The event kicks off at 7.30 p.m. Admission £3.00.
CUL CAMP 2010The Club's annual Cul Camp will take place between Mon 23rd and Friday 27th August. Promoting Gaelic football and hurling for boys and girls aged 7-14. Camp Fees: Family (brothers & sisters). 2 Family members £70, 3 Family members £95. Participating children will receive a full set of VHI playing gear (jersey, shorts, socks & a knapsack). OUR SOCIAL CLUB.
Our social club is the ideal venue for any group gathering. We host fundraising events, exibitions, private party's, whether it's to celebrate a Christening, a Golden Wedding Anniversary or anything in between.
